While wandering the craft store in our town, I came across a package of these little tiny brown grocery bags.  I thought to myself, "Self, these will be useful", so I bought a couple of packages.  I finally came up with this Christmas tag and of course it had to have a cat in the bag.  Cat lovers know how much cats love bags, sooooo.....Here it is, Enjoy!
Due to the fact that mags , the winner of my giveaway, did not contact me.....I am now awarding the giveaway to kparks@embarqmail.com.  Please contact me at catlady709@comcast.net with your pertinent information.  Congrats.

It's All About the Bears Blog Hop!

Welcome to "It's All About The Bears Blog Hop!  As you can see, it is all about the "bears" from the Cricut Lite Teddy Bear Parade Cartridge!  You should have arrived here from SHARON.  We have decided to showcase these adorable bears from this cartridge!

Today, tomorrow and Monday we will have a brand new HOP LIST with brand new projects to show you each day.  I am only in the hop today, so be sure to start at Lucy's blog tomorrow and Sunday for the new hop list, or you can see each day's hop list at the end of this post.

This is my entry to the Teddy Bear Parade Hop.  I chose the bedtime bear.

I cut her at 3" and the small bears on the bed were cut from Create a Creature 2 and were cut at 1-1/2".  The background paper is from Martha Stewart Essential Paper Pad.  The bed was cut at 3" and I used the Sugar and Spice Cartridge.  I put white flowers on the bedspread and on the bear's nightie.  I cut the picture from a catalog and typed the sentiment on my computer and punch it out with a scalloped punch.

Thanks for stopping by today! Below you will see the HOP LIST for each of the 3 days. Have fun hopping and getting some Teddy Bear Parade inspiration!

I made a card for my sister in law as she just had her second cataracts  done. She was so surprise and laughed so hard about it.  I first cut the basic Teddy out "Fit to Page" but that was too big, so I cut him out at 8".

Here is a set of Hello Kitty cards that I just finished.  The cards are cut at 3" and there are 10 of them.  I cut the purse from the Artiste cartridge.  The purse also has 10 envelopes.

Here is one of my forest friends drinking from my bird bath.  It is so hot that he needed a drink.  I am sorry for the screen texture to the picture but I had to take it through my bedroom screen as that was the closest point.

Here are my great cats in my bathroom.  As you can see they LOVE my bidet.  The bigger cat is in the first pic and is hanging on the edge of the bidet with his legs off the floor.  This pic makes me laugh.  The little one is hanging out with his brother.
Here is a new card that I embroidered, chalked and applied beads to it.  The beads are supposed to be marshmellows.  It makes me yearn for Winter.  LOL.

Here are some gift card holders that I recently made.  They are made with a die from My Creative Time.  They are easy and fun and I plan to make ALOT more.  The one long one is made from three top note die cuts.   Enjoy!

Here is a coffee cup that I stitched and I did a new technique to the background.  You take the plastic that comes on stamps and lay from one corner to another on a piece of white cardstock.  You take a dubber and ink it up with whatever color you want, I used a brown.  You daub along the plastic (off the cardstock and then go on to it) .  Next move the plastic down about 1/4 to 1/2" and do it again.  After you finish that way, you turn the paper and do it the other way.  It looks like a mattress top and I think it is a cool finish.  I want to try it with other colors.  Enjoy!

Wow it has been a long time since I posted.  I am sorry.  Just caught up in life.  Here is a card and envelope that I am submitted to Mary's "Critter Cuties" Challenge. I made it for a customer who is celebrating a first birthday.  It is from Animal Kingdom and is cut at 3".

Here is a card I did for Mary's summer challenge.  It is a 3D card which has an embossed background of writing, 3D shells and  a gold sticker saying "Happy Birthday.

Here is a sympathy card that I made and thought I would enter it into Mary's "Anything Goes Card" challenge.  I hand sewed the cross and then added a sentiment. Very simple, but I think very elegant.

This card is my entry for the Pause Dream Enjoy beach challenge I used a blue card and matted it with a yellow mat. I hand embroidered the saying "Birthday Fishes" and the fish with their bubbles. I put gold rhinestones in the eyes of the fish. This was a fun card to make and I enjoyed sewing it.

Here are a couple of pictures of my boys. They are SOOOO interested in two things....birds (lst pic) and me (2nd pic). The 2nd one is them in my computer room looking at me. They are getting big.
Here is a card that I am entering in a challenge. I got this pic and made it 3D. I added some twine and some small gems. I also added a "Aloha" sticker.

Here is a treat bag that I recently made. I used a cute little fox card topper and stamped "Hello Foxy" on its tail. I then took a plastic bag and put a few, I would have put more, but only had these left, Hersey's chunks in and stapled the bag to the foxes. I think they are so cute.
I just bought a die and here is a card that I made with that die. I call it saddle shoes and it takes me back to my younger, much younger days. I thought it turned out really nice. I used the Rock and Roll stamp set for the dancing pair and sayings.
Again here is a pic of my two boys on their cat tree enjoying the outside activities. They are so cute together that I cannot help taking pics. Sorry to bore you.

Here is a picture of my wonderful cat, Little Boy. Doesn't he look like he is looking at someone with love? ME!
Here are two pics of the wildlife around my house. The first one is of my pair of geese that are sitting on a nest somewhere, but today they are sitting on my two septic tank covered. They look very comfortable. The second one is of a birds called a Rose-breasted Grosbeak which is not seen too much in my area. I think they are beautiful.

Instructions for Basket

Using the AP cartridge cut a scallop square on page 33. Cut it at 9". For the handle cut a piece of paper 1" x 10". Using your paper trimmer, move in to the 3" mark and cut down 3" and up 3". Do the same on the other side. Fold in center sides and using scor tape or red tape, tape the edges so that the scallops meet in the middle. Attach handle at center scallop on both sides. This is not my original idea and I cannot remember who I got it from, but thank you who ever you are. This basket can be used for Easter, Valentines Day, Christmas, etc. with the use of appropriate paper. Sometimes my instructions make sense to me but not to other people. If you have any questions, please either comment or email me.

Card for Erica's Feb/March Challenge

This is my first time I have entered a challenge. I enjoyed it and it made my brain work. I hope it falls into the area of the challenge.

Card for New Kitty

Here is a picture of a card I made for a girlfriend who recently lost her kitty and they got a new one. I felt that that sort of occasion deserved a card.

Monday, February 13, 2012

This is the last card. It will be a series of fruit and vegetable note cards. I am planning a pear, apple, peach, cherry and melon. The vegetable cards will come next, but not sure which ones to use. I will be also making a corresponding box to put them in as a set.

Here is a card that I made with felt flowers. I cut them out with the Cuttlebug and a die set called Blossoms. I cut out two different sizes and put them together and punched a hole in the center. I then put a brad through them.

Here is a card with my two boys in a boat. It was originally "The Owl and The Pussycat", but I figured I would change it to be my boys.

Hello Kitty Easter Card

Here is a card that I made with the old red Sizzix and a Hello Kitty die. I had to cute two of them and then cut out by hand the dress and flower. I then added a rhinestone in the flower and some dots down the front of the dress for buttons. The grass is a new technique that I just learned. First cut out the scallop border and then run it through a crimper. It turned out looking like real grass.

Two owl cards

Here are two owl cards that I just finished. They were from a magazine which also included the paper. I think they are cute.

Snowy Saturday

Here are a couple of pics of the BEAUTIFUL snow. They are out my bedroom windows. One from my window seat and the other out where Flyboy is buried. I think it is really pretty.

Memorial to a Friends Kitty

Recently a friend of mine lost her kitty and she and her husband were very upset. I thought I would make them a memorial to Miss Kitty. I think it turned out really nice and they loved it. I put the pictures and saying in a old window frame that was in my old house that was torn down. I think it added a nice touch.
