While wandering the craft store in our town, I came across a package of these little tiny brown grocery bags. I thought to myself, "Self, these will be useful", so I bought a couple of packages. I finally came up with this Christmas tag and of course it had to have a cat in the bag. Cat lovers know how much cats love bags, sooooo.....Here it is, Enjoy!

It's All About the Bears Blog Hop!
Welcome to "It's All About The Bears Blog Hop! As you can see, it is all about the "bears" from the Cricut Lite Teddy Bear Parade Cartridge! You should have arrived here from SHARON. We have decided to showcase these adorable bears from this cartridge!
Today, tomorrow and Monday we will have a brand new HOP LIST with brand new projects to show you each day. I am only in the hop today, so be sure to start at Lucy's blog tomorrow and Sunday for the new hop list, or you can see each day's hop list at the end of this post.
This is my entry to the Teddy Bear Parade Hop. I chose the bedtime bear.
I cut her at 3" and the small bears on the bed were cut from Create a Creature 2 and were cut at 1-1/2". The background paper is from Martha Stewart Essential Paper Pad. The bed was cut at 3" and I used the Sugar and Spice Cartridge. I put white flowers on the bedspread and on the bear's nightie. I cut the picture from a catalog and typed the sentiment on my computer and punch it out with a scalloped punch.
Thanks for stopping by today! Below you will see the HOP LIST for each of the 3 days. Have fun hopping and getting some Teddy Bear Parade inspiration!

Here is a coffee cup that I stitched and I did a new technique to the background. You take the plastic that comes on stamps and lay from one corner to another on a piece of white cardstock. You take a dubber and ink it up with whatever color you want, I used a brown. You daub along the plastic (off the cardstock and then go on to it) . Next move the plastic down about 1/4 to 1/2" and do it again. After you finish that way, you turn the paper and do it the other way. It looks like a mattress top and I think it is a cool finish. I want to try it with other colors. Enjoy!

Here are two pics of the wildlife around my house. The first one is of my pair of geese that are sitting on a nest somewhere, but today they are sitting on my two septic tank covered. They look very comfortable. The second one is of a birds called a Rose-breasted Grosbeak which is not seen too much in my area. I think they are beautiful.

Instructions for Basket
Using the AP cartridge cut a scallop square on page 33. Cut it at 9". For the handle cut a piece of paper 1" x 10". Using your paper trimmer, move in to the 3" mark and cut down 3" and up 3". Do the same on the other side. Fold in center sides and using scor tape or red tape, tape the edges so that the scallops meet in the middle. Attach handle at center scallop on both sides. This is not my original idea and I cannot remember who I got it from, but thank you who ever you are. This basket can be used for Easter, Valentines Day, Christmas, etc. with the use of appropriate paper. Sometimes my instructions make sense to me but not to other people. If you have any questions, please either comment or email me.

Hello Kitty Easter Card
Here is a card that I made with the old red Sizzix and a Hello Kitty die. I had to cute two of them and then cut out by hand the dress and flower. I then added a rhinestone in the flower and some dots down the front of the dress for buttons. The grass is a new technique that I just learned. First cut out the scallop border and then run it through a crimper. It turned out looking like real grass.

Memorial to a Friends Kitty
Recently a friend of mine lost her kitty and she and her husband were very upset. I thought I would make them a memorial to Miss Kitty. I think it turned out really nice and they loved it. I put the pictures and saying in a old window frame that was in my old house that was torn down. I think it added a nice touch.
